Meet the Minds Behind the Manners
Rob Russell
Hi, I’m Rob Russell! My passion for working with both people and dogs, allows me to bring warmth, patience, and a personal touch to every in-home private lesson. I value the unique connection that forms through individualized attention and strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment for growth. Whatever the situation, I tailor each session to the needs and goals of those I’m working with. I have been training dogs professionally for 4 years and I believe learning should be engaging, empowering, and adaptable for every dog and owner. I look forward to supporting your family—two-legged and four—on your journey!
Brendan Hendricks
My name is Brendan Hendricks and I am the owner of/ head trainer at adaptive canine training. I have been working as a professional dog trainer for 6 years. I got my start working with another company and realized their size made it difficult to truly develop relationships with the clients and more importantly their pups.
This was a main reason for starting ACT. Now I can take each dogs needs into consideration.
Where most people see a challenge or annoyance, I see an opportunity and potential. I don’t get worn down by the dogs and their energy and persistence, I feed off of it and thrive. Regardless of how crazy things are, and as a father of two I know it can get crazy, my patience and energy seems endless…..seems.
Hi! My names Alissa Moore, and I’ve been working in the pet industry for about 8 years. I have experience in a variety of roles, from veterinary offices to in-home boarding and everything in between! I’ve adored canines my entire life and grew up around dogs, but I truly fell in love with dog training after getting my first dog: a backyard-bred German Shepherd mix in 2022.
As he got older, we struggled significantly with reactivity. Like many owners, I wanted him to listen and feel confident, but I didn’t fully understand how to communicate with him in a way that made sense to him. The more I learned, the clearer our communication became and the more comfortable and responsive he was.
I’ve now been training dogs professionally for about 2 years and I absolutely love every second of it. My approach focuses on clear communication, structure, fairness, patience, and encouragement for both the dog and the owner. To me, it’s just as important that you feel supported and confident in your journey as it is for your dog.
